The list below is a personal look at the 75 Christian books that have most influenced me. These are the books that I go back to repeatedly, and gain more from each time I review them. They've stood the test of time for me.
Now I've read many more books on prayer, theology, men's ministry, church and small group leadership, biographies, and teaching than what are represented here. And many of those books are terrific. But they haven't shaped me repeatedly the way this group of books has.
The books aren't listed in any particular order except how they were arranged on my shelves. There is a broad mix of old and new. I tend to agree with C.S. Lewis that we over-value new books, so I've worked hard to systematically read time-tested classics from centuries gone by.
You can find many of these older books free on the web if you search. Amazon.com and cbd.com have the rest.
Remember, stock your library with great books that feed you, and become channels by which God speaks into your chest.
May the Lord bless your reading and learning!
